Success! Let the wait begin.
Found it on their new, official EverQuest Next site:
And yes, I got a confirmation email. Here's what it looks like:
We've received your EverQuest Next Beta application!
Hello (Name Redacted),
You have successfully applied to the EverQuest Next and EverQuest Next Landmark Beta programs. We'll be announcing more details on the betas as we get closer to the launches. Landmark is scheduled to launch this winter and EverQuest Next is still in the early stages of development with no announcement date set. When we are ready to begin allowing people into a beta program, if you are selected by SOE to participate, an acceptance email will be sent to your email address, and you will be asked to read and accept a Beta Testing Agreement.
Once you have been selected to join the Beta for either program, you will receive an email with further instructions. In the meantime, we want you to help us design EverQuest Next!
EQN Round Table
If you've ever wanted to help make a game, Round Table is your opportunity! Every week, our development team asks you to weigh in on their design discussions - as they are happening! Here are a few of the topics currently being discussed:
Should Female Dwarves have Beards?
Ah, the timeless question! Do you prefer Dwarven ladies with a rich mane of facial hair - or would you prefer to see them a little more clean cut? Tell us!
Should Ratonga be in EverQuest Next?
Do you prefer your games to have adorable rat creatures - or are you against seeing rodents of any sort in Norrath? It's your world - weigh in!
Should You be able to Customize Your Armor?
Some people want to dress in rainbow feathers - others want to maintain a look of stoic heroism... what's the right answer? You Let us know.
Again, thank you for your interest in the EverQuest Next and EverQuest Next Landmark Beta programs.
The EQN Team
Nifty! Glad I poked around other forums for a change *big cheesy grin*
If you sign in via the official site, like I did, it says they already have your info, no need to apply again, basically.
I tried signing up from this site as well, but it said they already got my info . So I'm all signed up already.
when i registered account, it show "Sorry, there was an error in the registration process"
wht does it mean?
is that the beta key full?
I have no clue man. Have you tried multiple times? Have you gotten an email?
i checked it, the account already registered and email received
but...i got same error in got the key...already
So, you received a beta key?
no, this time not recevie anything....
The biggest problem is that those of us currently living in Europe are being forced to go to the Euro site and make a new account with pro seibien instead of using our Sony accounts. Its making me really angry to be honest. My account specifically was created in 2004 in the US where I lived. Now that I am in Sweden for personal reasons I can't sign up.. I did put in a CS ticket but since they don't have a EQN option it went to EQ2. Hopefully they pass it allong to the people who need to fix it.. One can always hope..
Oh! This problem was addressed in one of the QandA's. It was asked if our European friends would have a chance to get into BETA and they said "Yes".
Welcome to the forum!
Thank you for the welcome But that "Yes" doesn't mean we can play with our own accounts. I can easily sign up for Beta if I want to make a Pro Seibien account but if you know anything about them in Europe then they aren't getting any of my information ever.. I want to sign up with my Sony account I mean come on, they have happily collected my money since 1999.. Course its their choice how they manage their beta tests. But I am sad I can't participate if they don't change their stance on managing it. ;(
I am sorry, I am unlearned in the ways of European internet security lol but I do have a weird growing fascination with Europe...
Either way, I do wish you luck though!
Yeah, signed up Friday, when it first appeared on the site. Got the same email as Sigrah. Apparently it works best if you already have an account, in which case you don't have to do much besides logging in. Maybe Sony is getting flooded with new account registrations now? Established EQ players should get in first, anyway
Anyway, now we wait... I hope having an account that was registered in 1999 means something, but I'll have to wait and see... wait, wait, wait...
Just a silly little point. But I ended up using an VPN (Free trial for the win) and then signed up with my sony account) Sad I had to go to those lengths to do what I should have been able to do in the first place but hey, you do what ya got to do. Anyway I did finally get the confirmation email on the correct Sony account. I really hope they change their stance before the game releases. There will be droves of very angry consumers if they don't and I fear it will hurt the games success.
Any person with any business knowledge knows if you have a large group of consumers complaining about the same thing then don't do that thing.. Hope the petition that is floating around helps. I signed it all ready
Ahh yeeeahhhh just tried signing up again and it worked. When I tried previously it gave me an error and the URL was saying betaFull.
